Alloy Wheel, Hubcap and Tire

It is for the learning purpose to practice the design for an interview. Especially, it is for the engineers, designers and Intermediate level Solidworks software Learners. The model is from the university Course for Single Module Study (Advanced CAD/CAM - Honours Component). I hope that it will be useful not only for an interview but also for an improvement in advanced level work.

Project Duration: 1day (1hour practice for the interview)

The Ideal model of Car Alloy Wheel and Hubcap 


Welcome to the design blog and I would like to introduce the manufacturing design model of Car tire, Alloy wheel and Hubcap. This is making the ideal model of the wheel and its hubcap. For this design, Creo Parametric and SolidWorks software are used to create 3D Modelling Parts.

Hubcap design has been manufactured by rapid prototyping machine and the wheel has been manufactured by using a C.N.C (Computer Numerical Control) Lathe and Milling machine.

The main purpose is sharing the knowledge for the future generation. It will learn to prepare the project from the beginning. It will gain to know about the following process.

1.      Start the idea of the design or creation

2.      Chosen the materials

3.      Practice the engineering software (Auto CAD, SolidWorks other software)

4.      Create the necessary part step by step

5.      Create the Assembly (Adjust the part to joint together for the real process)

6.      Create the drawing

7.      Create the Animation as much as we can to use in the presentation.
