3D Modelling design in SolidWorks

3D Modelling design in SolidWorks

It is the design practice for the engineers and designers to learn the SolidWorks with their own idea.

It is going to start with the introduction of Revolved Boss/Base (Tool) from CommandManager at SolidWorks. The sample design of water Bottle is shown in Photos format (JPEG image). This is showing the sample of the part to practice from the basic to learn the SolidWorks. It is in photo view which includes lighting, colour, materials and background.

It is only for the learning purpose for the beginner in SolidWorks. After the part, it can change to the drawing. The following process is showing the water bottle step by step from the part to the drawing.

Water Bottle Drawing

The Lathe Steady

It is the practice to learn the assembly from the part. There are 5 parts to combine to be the assembly. It is to create the parts step by step. When it has done to be the Assembly name “The Lathe Steady”. It can create all the detail in the drawing.

Lathe Steady Part 1

The Lathe Steady Part 1 is a single part that it has been created with several common SolidWorks tools, including extrudes, cut-extrudes and fillets.

Lathe Steady Part 2

The Lathe Steady Part 2 uses an extrude and a cut-extrude to make the part detail.

Lathe Steady Part 3

The Lathe Steady Part 3 uses an extrude and the chamfer to make the part detail.

Lathe Steady Part 4

The Lathe Steady Part 4 uses an extrude and the chamfer to make the part detail.

Lathe Steady Part 5

The Lathe Steady Part 5 uses an extrude. a cut-extrude and the chamfer to make the part detail.
